When we started work on Hunt: Showdown we spend some time with the team to explore the visual style of the environments and the opportunities for environmental storytelling. The goal was to embed as much backstory in the environment as possible. Themes like the sickness, death and the plague sweeping through town, survivors fortifying their homes and slowly losing hope and the eventual twisted decay and death that awaited all in the game world, players not excluded.
The scenes have been dressed with various props made by the art team. The interior walls (room architecture) was done by me as an early stage of the houses in the final game. Props I made are specifically called out on a different page on my artstation.
